My Cuirboli Bracers didn't sell in the multiple times I've posted them, and noone seemed to be interested at all, so I figured I'd go ahead and try to spice them up a bit.
In turn, I tooled a Celtic Trinity Knot on the surface (On hardened leather, that's not exactly easy) and filled in the tooling with water based acrylic ink. The knot and inking took about an hour to complete on this one side, but that's mostly because it was pre-hardened leather. If it were raw oak leather, it would probably have taken about 30 minutes.
These bracers are for sale and can be purchased at [link] . They are water hardened leather, tooled, and inked.
I would love nothing better than to buy a pair of your leather bracers, except that I'm going into the army next month, and will have nowhere to keep them for the next five years or so. And so, alas, I must wait! But these are beautiful bracers. I love your knots.

Thanks! This is actually my second piece of knotwork that I've done.....ever. The Northman Bracers were the first. Other than that, the rest has just been on scraps.
Well, they look absolutely beautiful, not at all like they're your second try on finished work. But scraps would be the best way to practice. Looks like they helped!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
